But this (Sub )dwarf planet nonsense has to go.
Just dust of the old term planetoid and be done with it.

It seems more like a neighborhood and size difference?

But part of it is that dwarf planets are rounded, unlike most asteroids (though Ceres got moved over into the dwarf planets). Here's the current list of suspected dwarf planets with probable diameters of about 838km (523 miles) or more: Pluto, Eris (more massive than Pluto!), Ceres, Haumea, Makemake. Only Pluto and Ceres are confirmed so far.

Why not make them all planets? Because there are more dwarf planets than you can shake a stick at. There are 40 suspected ones, the Kuiper belt might have up to 200, and if you include everything else that number might be as high as 2000 (guesstimating based on where we've looked and where we haven't).

Too many planets!

what is the msds for margarine? sonof2ravens August 11 2011, 13:33:09 UTC
Saw something about the Mont Blanc tunnel fire.
34 people killed because a truck carrying margarine caught fire.
The smoke had cyanide in it (foam insulation?).
By all accounts a very hot fire.

MSDS...
For margarine?
You gotta be kidding me. >.<

See, you're being very American here, and being quite clueless --
WHY would the FDA ever regulate MSDS? (Or did you think OSHA regulated foods? ^_^ )

But that comment would play great on the talk radio circuit! ;)

Yah, 39.
Here's a link:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mont_Blanc_Tunnel#The_1999_fire

Fires that involve plastics, foam, or similar things can indeed create cyanide and hydrochloric acid fumes... though I bet that most deaths were via carbon monoxide (binds with hemoglobin 500 times more readily than oxygen) and smoke inhalation. Lotta people don't realize how bad smoke inhalation is, killing 50-80% of most fire victims (we started people on oxygen in my Canadian first aid class when appropriate, esp. for smoke inhalation):http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/
