Obligatory how-my-commute-was post

1. We were allowed to leave work starting at 1 PM. I am taking tomorrow off, so I decided to stay so as not to screw over my department, which has been having all kinds of medical emergencies lately (emergency appendectomy, compound fracture on arm due to fall on ice, random fainting spell requiring 24-hour observation and MRI). I saw one intrepid lady on a bike on Mass. Ave. near Symphony. But I was slip-sliding around in my boots -- biking would have scared the bejeezus out of me. The other thing is that there was almost no space between logjam-cars and snowdrifts -- not sure where the bike would go. And taking a lane wasn't an option because, well, that's the problem to begin with. :)

Nope -- I WORK in Longwood -- I live near Inman Square in Cambridge. The walk took me quite a while. :)

But we could still grab cocoa sometime after work. More excuses for cocoa = good.
