Jun 16, 2011 22:35

This piece is written for the fic 'Tear Up Your List' written by innie_darling  for the casestory  bigbang.

The fic can be found here, and as it is awesome stuff you should go read it! Shoo!!! It's a Sherlock BBC fic, gen, but with some violence, so read the warnings.

The piece is called 'Didn't Your Heart Go'

This is a download link, if you want to have the music.

Some notes on the piece:
When I read the story the fact that Sherlock played the partita, and innie_darling  suggested violin sounds, so I ran with that. The metronome sounds came when I realized that I wanted a feeling of stress, like in the story, of things coming to an end.
It is, in a way, program music in that it tries to tell the same story as 'It's Amy', albeit in a slightly different order, and perhaps focussing on different aspects. Anyway, it was a fun piece to make :)

Credits:
The violin piece that can be heard is Partita No 1, in B minor for solo violin, movement III Sarabande, by J.S Bach. More details can be found here.
