I can't deny that I've been feeling a bit lonely lately. It is my fault, I won't pretend it isn't. I haven't been much online and, as a result, my followers forgot about me and probably found me a bit boring when I came back with (more or less) regular posts. I won't blame anyone who did. Personally, I think one can still be a penpaller and not be a very regular penpal. I still write letters, but not at all as often as I used to when I was a teenager. Not everyone can accept that you do not write every other month, but if they don't, then it's their loss and they're probably better off finding another friend. :)

I know what you mean though about blogging being faster. I hope you can find some new people to your friendslist. LJ is slower in general these days than it used to be. Almost all my past and current penpals used to have a LJ and I loved it, but nowadays few are here. Shame! Many do use FB though but I don't think it's the same.

You are totally right on the penpalling thing, though (as you said) not many people think the same and put on you pressure because you don't write back on a regular basis.

As for LJ, do you say it's not my fault if it's so quiet nowadays?! Hope the FF will give it a bit of a twist!

There are people out there who do feel the same way about penpalling though - it's just a matter of finding those who have a likeminded opinion. I think it's a bit foolish to put so much importance on the amount of letters etc personally. If someone is a friend shouldn't you enjoy hearing from them regardless?

Where have you promoted your FF frenzy?

Totally agree with you on the penpal topic. But I seem to be friend-less now... So I guess not many agree with us on that!

I promoted my FF frenzy on this lj page http://frenziedfriends.livejournal.com/ but nowhere else apart from that. Have you got any suggestions?

I have shared this on my journal and friended you back.

I have been on LJ since forevr...I am in love with Johnny Weir and tend to post about him when the notion seizes me. Johnny Depp ain't too bad either.

I live in Florida, but I am originally from NYC. I am a freelance writer and I work from home. I live with my MIL (about whom I tend to complain) and my adult nephew.

When the notion seizes me, I can really get into knitting.

I'm always up for new LJ friends.

Hi! I saw you on superkattis LJ and would love to befriend you! I post quite sporadically & am always trying to post more. I feel like my LJ is sad and friendless, so I would love to have a new friend! I'm 36, live in NY with my husband and 2 girls... I post mostly about life, work, and about daily stuff. I'm a pen paller also!
