Has anyone of you ever felt like there's no such thing as free will? Like no matter how hard you try, dream or struggle, you can't break free from the life you're bound to. I feel like that now. I feel like I was destined to be a lifer at Loblaws and because I decided to break away from that, I'm being punished for going against the fates. I've ( Read more... )

yes. I don't think I believe in free will in any event. If I were God, I wouldn't let my creations just run around all nimbly bimbly. But you're not talking about a lack of free will, because by breaking out of the mould that is Loblaws, you would have already exerted free will, having moved to something other than what you consider your design.

In a life with a lack of free will, you're directly on the path you're supposed to be on, because you can't do any differently

I did differently because I'm more aware than I should be... and now I'm being punished.

I don't think you are being punished mart. I think you are just in a slump. I do believe in free will, however I don't believe we are programed to be mediocre. I am a strong believer that you are in charge of your future. There is always a choice. I believe that a person always has taken a step in what they will choose in how they will live their lives. Everyone says they are stuck in their situation in life. But what are they really doing to change that? I feel that instead of just accepting what is mediocre you should take charge and just do your dream. If your dream was going to Japan Mart, I believe you would've booked your flight and gone despite all odds. I am not trying to say "you should've" but instead just point out that in everyone's life, no matter how stuck they are, they are in charge. There is always a solution, but who is willing to get up and take that step?

Anyways, that's my 2 cents.

A wise woman once said, there is no fate but what we make for ourselves. (Sarah Conor)

I HARDLY believe that being an automaton at Loblaws is all you've ever been good at. Fuck man, Loblaws REALLY sucks.

The reason why your dreams aren't coming to fruition is because you're a lazy bastard and won't make any extra effort to MAKE them happen. If you wanted them badly enough, you would find ANY WAY to make them happen for you.

You are in a rut, and you're lazy so it's even harder for you to pull yourself out.

You need to find that drive that will make you get your ass in gear.

Your friend Dawn is right, if you REALLY wanted to go to Japan, you would've done whatever you can to MAKE it happen...i still hold hope for you though, about getting there.

You need to spice up your life, you need something drastic..i know better than anyone what it's like to be stuck in a rut, that's why i'm extreme, it keeps things from getting boring.

We'll tlak more about this,

Nathalie
