Well, methinks from your I's that you have arrived. Welcome! Or should I say, hosh geldeniz!! Stay awhile in Istanbul, give yourself at the very least a week to explore. One of the enormous mosques is free to get into, visit that one - I think it's the Blue Mosque? Or else it's Aya Sofia. Where are you staying? If you are staying in the tourist district of Sultanhamet, these will be in walking distance. I recommend taking the commuter ferries up the Bosphorus, to "the end of the line" where there is a really old ruins and cemetery (challenge: find the vampire graves). I think you just go to a ferry ticket office and tell them you want it all, or something like that. it's a really beautiful, cheap way to check out Istanbul by boat. The Asian side of the city seems to be where all the Turks live and tourists venture less, so go there and eat a lot of delicious food, chances are there will be musicians playing and you will end up dancing around the restaurant with the waiters and all the other patrons, hands on each others shoulders, ( ... )

YES. Are you coming to Canada or do I have to go march on Parliament with a poorly spelled cardboard sign?

Good plan!
We got a plan B either! If they don't give visa till December we will go to Prague, march to the magic statue on Charles bridge and make some violent wishes.
