In order to get the insurance paid, you must give the damaged item to Fed Ex. They will keep it. Not just the speakers, but the whole computer. It's one way that they weasel out of paying insurance--I've had quite a few frames damaged in the mail, but can't get refunded for them because I'm not willing to give them the painting AND the frame.
