I am now a Certified Technology Specialist.  I took the test this week before they move it from an online test to a testing center.  The next step is to go for my Design (CTS-D) certification.  It is really nice to have an employer that encourages taking classes and getting certifications.

Congrats! And I'm right there with you on the encouraging emplyoer thing. My boss is paying for me to take my CTS-D. I start Part 2 and 3 on 2 Dec (this Sunday), and sit for the exam on 7 Dec (next Saturday). Part 1 was faily easy. I'm hoping Part 2 and 3 are as well.

How were the Part 2 and 3 classes? I hope the design classes are more practical than the CTS test. Not that I have anything against knowing your history but sometimes stuff is outdated or unimportant for a reason. Let me know how the test goes this weekend. That is next on my to-do list. Good Luck.
