the black donnellys. jenny/tommy. ~1700 words. The first time she kills a man he deserves it, no question there. But before the blood has hit the ground she thinks of Tommy.

note: first stab at the fandom so I'm a bit worried. Also, this is what happens when class is canceled, I finish things.

OH MY GOD YOU STAR. YOU WROTE DONNELLY FIC AKA PROBABLY MY FAVOURITE FIC OF ALL. THIS IS JUST STUNNING. You really capture that sense of the neighbourhood, of them growing up to be the people they really always were if anyone had looked close enough. Ugh, stunning.

First of all, beautiful story. I loved just...your words. They are fantastic. And the hints of "he/she always had in it 'em" are just haunting and lovely.

That said, second of all...I need to see this show. Like now. Like yesterday.

You, my dear, are such a wonderful writer. Gah, the way you use words. And of course, you write Jenny so well, you make me like her even more than the show did. Even more than Olivia Wilde does. That is some serious power.

This is going to need a few rereads, I think, but I love it, absolutely love it.

Like corleones, I too feel like you make me like Jenny far more than on the show. You always do that, you did it with Serena and with Connie Corleone and probably with other characters I can't think of right now. With Tommy as well, although I already liked him a lot. And I don't even really care for this fandom, go figure.

The very same women who were smart enough to run things without anyone noticing, but that was a hypocrisy lost on her for years. Jenny believed their words, not their actions and that would have sunk her eventually but Helen Donnelly put a stop to it.
Definitely my favourite part.
