Reason to hate Freckles number 1,349

Aug 21, 2007 13:18

I just realized a vague thought I had for a tattoo to add to my left arm won't work. Since it involves white. And I have freckles and they're dark enough to show up even through the blue black of the ink I already have on that arm.
*sigh*

From on freckled person to another, I believe I can safely state that I feel your pain. Not sure how it will affect my tattoos when I finally get them, but I'm sorry that it is preventing you from getting what you want.

You're one of the only people I know nearly as heavily freckled as I am.
Damn the stupid things.

Just try to accept and plan that anything you get, unless extremely dark colored will have little freckles peeking through. And don't plan on anything light colored in a place you have freckles. *sigh*

I had originally planned on some colors on mine, but then realized what they freckles would do, so I have changed to have mostly black unfortunately. Still annoys me :P

In regards to the unwashed section down a little ways, I agree...I have a grouping that goes under my eye that looks like I was crying and that dirt stuck to it...It's rather new and the first couple times that I noticed it I tried to wash it away, then figured out what it was...so annoying!!!

I hate mine too, even though they aren't so many or so visible... I get stupid tiny little freckles on my face that just make me feel like I look unwashed. We hates.

*curls up with her fellow freckle hater*
And the worst is when non-freckled people tell me they 'love them.'

I want to pin them down and tattoo freckles on them and see how much they love then when they realize it can make them look unwashed, to use your phrase, or that it clashes or makes you look jaundiced with certain colors, or sticks out under tattoos.

I like your freckles. Sue me.

And on a more serious vein? There's a white ink that will conceal the freckles. There's two drawbacks.

A: It's more expensive.

B: The frecklehiding is a side effect of the primary function (and explains A)... it's blacklight reactive.

Not sure how you'd feel about parts of your tatt glowing in the dark...

they have blacklight reactive ink. That doesn't cause cancer and so can actually be found in reputable shops?
ZOMG! WAAANT! (not for this tat, unfortunately, but would I think add amusingly well to my Death of Rat's tattoo I crave.)

*nod* I noticed that a freckle or two that isn't covered by the dark green of my ivy. Le sigh.

At least yours are less common/noticable and the very design helps disguise it a bit.

Stupid freckles.
(And you! YOU! No complaining. You are always all 'they're cute!' to me when I bitch! Raaaar!)

1. That's fair. Laura did a fantastic job on the design.

2. Your freckles are cute. They are part of you and as you are cute, they are cute.

3. I had a conversation with mrogre this past weekend about my admitted hypocrisy. Glad to know that it holds true!

4. You're cute when you "raaar!" too. :P

I dunno. I really like my freckles. Always have.

Does that give me the right to call yours cute?

Means I can't rightfully throw things at you at least.

I think freckles are part of the redheaded hotness personally. ;)
