i just wrote a christmas card to my parents, one to my grandparents, and one to my sister (she dosent live at home) and just suddenly.. broke down crying. its my first holiday season away from anyone, and in a country that doesnt celebrate it no less

its really depressing, mostly because it just hit me that this is my first year away from everything.. but im going to try my best to stay positive and find a way to make it fun! :3

Even if you can't do all the festivities, you should still try to do something a little special to make the day not like a normal day. Most people eat Christmas cake on Christmas Eve.
But New Years there is pretty big so hopefully you'll be able to get you fill of the festivities then.
I know it's different than what you normally do and you miss it, but it's only for one year and things will be back to normal next year, so just try to enjoy doing things differently for a year.
also, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Sorry this is late but I was out of town. :< I hope you were able to do something fun, at least.
