I have nothing against Stephanie Meyer other than she's selling cliched tripe that's been done over and over.  Gimme a break from the hottie vamps.  Please!

Interesting. Of course, there are a lot of mainstream writers who think King can't write well. I don't agree with them, but it just shows no one is immune to criticism (or snobbery, as the case may be).

I do agree Rowling writes much better than Meyer. I read the first TWILIGHT book, and got bored and started skimming. But then I'm not a teenager. My daughter loved it. I guess if you can speak to your audience well enough, you don't have to write that well. Sort of sad, in a way.

I have to reply to myself that I'm being unfair to Meyers and I am, most likely, simply jealous of her success
