Of course the untold story is whether he was fired or truly did quit. No one is releasing that. I wonder if he might be investigated. Our regional VP went on record stating that this deal has drained our reserves and if we have signficant catastrophe losses this year, Nationwide Insurance may very go under. After cutting several hundred jobs last year, the consensus is that they will have to continue cutting jobs this year.
That just sucks for everybody who works there. Also, I'm a longtime policyholder and it would be a shame if the company went under since I've been happy with them.
Truly it will be the policyholders that suffer because their rates will probably be increased to raise capital. Job cuts also means less claims service which is very important to people.
