I'm from PA as most of you know, however I have never been camping. I never really understood the fascination with it all. When I met Keith Strickland, he talked of camping because, living in upstate NY, he would often come to PA camping. I enjoy camping. You can really relax, see some beautiful things, and just enjoy the people you are with out there. Going to an organized campground is also a lot of fun with all the other folks there. You have so many choices of where to go that the possibilities are endless. There's a place in northern PA, a gay campground, that's a fun place with a mix of roughing it and amenities. The worst thing you can do is try.

I was a boyscout, so I'm used to no showers, shit in the woods camping. Most setups are just cheap vacations ;) but hey! I can use a cheap vacation!

Will and I are heading to cooper's lake in a few weeks for Pennsic, which should be pretty kick ass.

I camped once in Cub Scouts and never again. I like nature but I like to be able to leave it at the end of the day and go somewhere with modern conveniences.

Could never figure out what was fun about going outside to sleep in the fresh air, then having to spend the time fighting off the ants, wasps, mosquitos, and spiders. :-)

But before spending too much money I'd advise relaxing in front of the TV and watching "The Long, Long Trailer" (Lucy & Ricky), then taking a nap.

PS: If you go camping we want pictures

Cheers!

I was a Boy Scout, so if camping was ever in my system, I got it completely out then. Doesn't interest me whatsoever.
