The Road to the Superbowl...

is pictured here - running directly through Lambeau Field.

We beat the Seahawks last week in a snowstorm and face the much improved Giants tomorrow with game time temperatures predicted to be below zero.

The frozen tundra. The Packers. FAVRE.

It's football. And I love it.

GO PACK!

Those pictures are awesome!!! I'm hoping that they make it all the way. I'm not much of a football fan myself, but my dad loves the Packers so much, he wears his sweater to church every Sunday! Go Packers!!!

Too funny! I'm sending immediately to The Daughter. She coaches cheerleading and their colors are green & gold, their mascot a bulldog. Better yet, her co-coach is a VIKINGS fan!!! She will love this! Thanks for posting it.

Oh man, I can't wait!

This season has the same magical feel that teh 96 team had.

I'm working until 5p tomorrow night, at which time I am hopping in the car, driving as fast as I can to get home and watch this thing of beauty.

And it's supposed to be around Zero degrees shortly after kickoff.

Our generation's Ice Bowl!

It's all I've been thinking about all week. This whole season unfolded like some kind of miracle - I wasn't expecting anything like this at all and damn, it's been fun!

Ten years ago, I wanted us to go all the way for me and for all the fans that had been waiting through 30 years of drought. This year, I want it for Favre and for his already amazing legacy. It would be so fine to see the 'old man' knock off the unbeaten Pats.

Enjoy the game - I will! And when you get to your driveway, slow down - you wouldn't want to slide into the ditch again and miss the kickoff!

*hugs*

GO PACK!!

We have loved Brett for years here in Jersey. He's just one of those sports figures that you have to at least respect, if not love. He looks like a superhero in that shot. :-)

I respect him, too. He's someone who has made a lot of mistakes, but was smart enough to learn from them and change. I'm so damned happy for him this season - it's been great watching him break a new record every week. :-)

That pic of him is from the Sports Illustrated issue that named him Sportsman of the Year in December. I agree - great shot!

I was cheering for the Seahawks last week, but I didn't mind the packers win too much. And how cute was Brett Farve throwing snowballs?

And definitely cheering for Green Bay tomorrow!

The way that game started, I thought we were doomed! It did look like the guys were having fun, didn't it? :-)

Hee! Well, a local major appliance dealer is advertising big-screen TVs with the slogan, "There WILL be a Mississippi QB in the Super Bowl!" which I find totally amusing.

I'll be rooting for the Packers, and not just because my son-in-law played high school football with Brett at Hancock North Central - I just like 'em. Plus I don't wanna risk the Wrath of Kelly!

Mississippi QB - funny!

Your son-in-law played with Brett?! I bet he was a total hellion in those days. I don't think he started to act like an adult until he was about 30... :-) What a great story to be able to share with family, though!

The Wrath of Kelly would scare me, too - you are wise to fear it. (I didn't know Kelly was from Wisconsin til we were on our way home from the first WriterCon and were on the same plane from Las Vegas to Milwaukee. Turns out we both have roots in the same very small town about 12 miles from where I live. In Wisconsin, of course, that means we're probably related!)

GO PACK!
