Except for the death and the economy, I sort of like the current situation. You can't say that most places online-- this may be the last safe place to be honest ( Read more... )

I for one am very glad to hear ALL about YOU. I am sick of myself. So sick I haven't posted here in ages because there is nothing positive to talk about. So I am very happy to read all about you and how things are going. Best wishes for your mom.

I'm enjoying the slower pace of life, too - and the fact that people seem to be looking out for one another more... :-) *hugs*

So much change going on here, but I have adapted just fine to the lockdown life (as you say, there are many benefits). I don't know if you knew, but I finished university in 2017 (two simultaneous degrees) and have been working for the university since. I quit my job in January, but because of the pandemic, they talked me into staying on until the end of August (working from home, so it's not so bad, although I have more work now than I did sitting at my desk... I guess others have nothing better to do than throw stuff my way). I am going to start a master's degree in the fall (which is why I quit), but it's going to be distance-learning for the 2020/21 school year (which I hope I'm okay with... the not going into the crowded school is good, but it's going to be a challenge to self-motivate). Beep and Happy (26 and 24 right now, yikes, how did that happen?) are supposed to move out next month into a nearby unit. Both of them are in university as well. Beep went to college and started training as a chef, but hated it and switched over ( ... )

But your daughters are little girls! I've noticed the phenomenon of having more work when working from home. I think you are right about the reason. I'm back in the office but work at home fairly often depending on curfews, etc. And wouldn't dare temp fate and say "What else can go wrong?"
