So my mother died on December 8th. She had been bedbound, very uncomfortable, and very unhappy for almost exactly a year. All in all things transpired (medical people really like the word "transitioned" right now) much better than I ever expected. She was moved to the hospital on Thanksgiving and because of covid couldn't have visitors, but staff
