I'm so torn on Beginners. I liked it, but only with a huge BUT cause all the stuff with Mélanie Laurent, while kinda cute, was so inexistential compared to the Christopher Plummer-parts.

Yeah, Plummer's parts were the highlight of the film. Stellar, really. They even made my eyes well up several times, to be quite honest. Although I really, *really* liked McGregor's character and, of course, Arthur (<3). Laurent was really the weakling. Anyhow, I really appreciated the film in its whole :)
