ohkay. The thing about conventions is that they have crowds. Mary does not do well in crowds. I'm on the verge of freaking out, and theres about to be this big costume-sized dinner and I just. It did. It got awesome - right until my dad went into panic mode when I didn't contact him after two hours.

Psht. They have lobbies. Where you can print out passports and shit. But this is a writers conference so I figured they wouldn't mind me using up their computer for a few minutes. I just needed to print stuff for my reading tomorrow, but I was also all panicky and .... yeah. you know the rest. Cause' AIM!

Been there. Take the time you need to get into a better headspace. You're not going to take anything in if you're concentrating on not panicking instead. You'll take more in when you're calm and feel less awful after.

It got better. Everybody was super nice and I'm getting an entry ready to post my notes/thoughts on the one panel I managed to get to today! And the dinner was fun, once the panic mode got out of the way.
