I guess it's politically incorrect because we go from BC to AD; Before Christ, After Death.
Whoa, wait. So was he begot, and then did he die instantly at the same time? Or does this refer to someone else's death?
That's how I see it would be "incorrect". But I don't like the idea of using BCE and CE (Before Common Era, Common Era), either... I think I'll confuse everyone and use Astrological Ages!
*coughs* We are in the 4th year of Aquarius. When 3600 rolls around, We'll be in the age of Capricorn! Yippy Skippy!
OH! Okayyy. NOW I see. I was REALLY confused before... they didn't even teach me that when I went to Christian school. Thanks for clearing that up!
Yeah, in that case I wouldn't see how it's politically incorrect unless they're going a bit TOO FAR with separation between church and state. I mean, sure, that's the Roman Catholic way of looking at the years (as far as I know) but we've been living with it for so long, people would have a hell of a time trying to revert to a new way...
I was told that way back in HS to not use BC and AD...I'd imagine it could be offensive to people who are not Christians (and there are a bunch of them) to have to measure time by something they don't believe in, I can understand that would be weird for them.
