Kick in the Pants
I need one. I am getting down about the job situation and if I'm not careful, it will ruin my long weekend. It doesn't help that I'm getting ready to send out yet another round of resumes and there's also a job open at one of my employers. I'd like to apply and plan to do so, but it will be extra hard if someone else gets the job. It will make the rejection even harder.
Sigh.
I do have enough work for the moment, but not enough to ensure any kind of financial or job security. Yeah I know there's no such thing as job security these days, but I'd like to try it for a little while.
Part of the issue is that I started working in August and won't get my first large paycheck until mid-October. It makes budgeting very hard.
There are a lot of positives though. I love the work I'm doing. I've got some exciting things planned. Our family has a reliable income. Not working full-time gives me flexibility.
