Here's a look back at '05...
1. What did you do in 2005 that you'd never done before?
Traveled
sans parentals to NYC in March, drove to Charlotte on the interstates
by myself, successfully finished my freshmen year at CofC..
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Sort of and yes...
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
my cousin/godfather and his wife in San Francisco in August: Grace Reesa..
4. Did anyone close to you die?
my aunt in November
5. What countries did you visit?
didn't leave the country this year..
6. What would you like to have in 2006 that you lacked in 2005?
to
try to exercise more and maybe find a boyfriend...
7. What date from 2005 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
November 25: V came to visit me, it was the first time I'd seen him in 2 and a half years and it was just awesome.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
4 As and a B+
9. What was your biggest failure?
Physics 102 spring semester
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
umm.. just colds and stuff.. the usual early december last couple of days of class cold that i get...
11. What was the best thing you bought?
christmas presents for
my family: mom-flamingo lawn thing; brother-john wayne "the duke"
glasses and coasters; dad-t-shirt from jim n nicks that says "you can
smell our butts for miles" on the back...
12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
umm..not sure...
13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
umm..dunno..
14. Where did most of your money go?
books for school, gas, putting a new battery in the olds..
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
V
coming to visit me (!!!) and getting the go ahead from the parents to
go on the Comm Dept. study abroad trip during maymester (!!).. but
mostly V coming to visit!
16. What song will always remind you of 2005?
umm...B-A-N-A-N-A-S hehe..
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier os sadder? the same
ii. thinner or fatter? stayed about the same..maybe a pound or two more
iii. richer or poorer? very much poorer...
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
hanging out with friends and stuff
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
obsessing about stuff that I have no control over.. too much worrying..
20. How did you spend Christmas?
well..Christmas
Eve I rode around looking for a place to dump the trash, went to
wal-mart and stood in line for 30 minutes to get five items, then went
to food lion because my mom forgot to tell me to get baby carrotts and
called the cell phone as we (me and my brother) were checking out at
wal-mart, set up for the drop-in, the drop-in, watched love actually
after cleaning up from the drop in, went to midnight mass, came home,
went to bed, got up Christmas morning and went to mass again after
looking to see what I got (digital camera woot woot!), then came home
and ate and opened presents, then i slept.
21. What LJ users did you meet?
everyone from phi sig (hey bros! I heart you guys) and chris moore and some other people I think...
22. Did you fall in love in 2005?
not really..but i've developed a new and more interesting crush this year.. sadly haven't spoken to him since november.. :(
23. How many one-night stands?
none thank u very much
24. What was your favorite TV program?
Alias until they "killed" off michael vartan, i really liked real world too..
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
no hate.. old friends have drifted even further away though..
26. What was the best book you read?
uhm, The Boy Who Loved Anne Frank was awesome, as were the three Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants books
27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Billy Joel.
28. What did you want and get?
umm..Alias Season 4 on DVD and a Digital Camera!
29. What did you want and not get?
nothing really..
30. What was your favourite film of the year?
Pride and
Prejudice was awesome (it made me incandescently happy!), Sisterhood of
the Travelling Pants was also good.. there are probably others as
well...
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
turned 20..my actual birthday started with a fire alarm at 2:45am at
Warren Place thanks to the idiots on the 3rd floor who decided it would
be a good idea to pull the alarm when others had exams at 8am...but
then after sleeping until about 9:30, I got up, watched some
TV..studied film..went to the library and studied film some more after
some lunch, saw obbh briefly as he breezed through the computer
section, took my film exam at 7:30, and then went back to my dorm where
I talked to my roomies and ate dinner at 10:30pm. (however two days
before after taking my anthropology exam, my
parentscame to charleston and I opened my presents from them and then
we went to see Pride and Prejudice where my dad cracked me up because
he misunderstood some of the lines in the movie, then we went to the
James Island Festival of Lights, and had
dinner at Charleston Crab house where my dad ordered Charleston
Crabhouse Punch for all of us...)
32.What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
to have someone to ease my fears of being single for my entire life
perhaps.. but it was made pretty satisfying by the wonderful visit from
V because he wanted it all to be a surprise!
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2004?
comfy
34. What kept you sane?
the driving forces in my life, being
able to talk to my parents whenever i need to, meeting my awesome new
suitemates at the WP..
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Michael Vartan of course (I still like George Clooney.. but MV is at the top right now!)
36. What political issue stirred you the most?
umm.. I dunno?
37. Who did you miss?
I still miss V even though I just saw him a month ago.. and I miss OBBH...
38. Who was the best new person you met?
Ed ( = my OBBH!)..and
of course my phi-siggers.. can't really single any of them out to be
the best because they're all equally good

no matter how far the distance, there are some people who will always be there for you
