Well, that doesn't actually sound that unreasonable for a Birkin. I'd be leery of buying something that comparatively rare off eBay though.

I'd never get it off eBay- too much of a chance of getting eScrewed.

There are actually several businesses that do nothing but broker "vintage" high end handbags. Kinda like buying a used Rolex.
I even have rererences for a couple of them in Texas =)
