Late for the barn this morning but I just finished pulling up most of the carpet and removing about 40,000 staples from the hardwood. i think i can refinish this hardwood even though it is also the subfloor - but it is redwood (I believe) and lovely so i hate to cover it up again. I might attempt it - only because the floor looks in good shape- but if I run into problems i will have to get some one to come in . :)
