Welcome to Maryland. :D Furthemore isn't until next year so you have plenty of time to save up. I don't really think anyone will let you borrow their fursuit if they don't even know you though. I recommend buying a fursuit off of furbuy.com or just getting a tail commission from someone. I am hoping to go to Furthemore next year as my first furry con as well.
