I like light hearted zen Charlie and this episode had that. I REALLY like Reese...in the way everyone else on this likes Charlie. The relationship between Tidwell and Reese I like. Do I think it will last, well, that is a different question. But it actually strikes me as being close to a real life relationship, you know? Friends who start dating even though everyone else goes "Wha???" when they find out. It is one of the reasons I enjoy this show as much as I do. The writing is good enough that I don't have to fade into fantasyland as much to get into the show. And I really like and all times I get to see Reese....
Yeah, I can understand why you'd have a thing for Reese! She's very hot.
I take your point about the relationship that baffles everyone outside it. That does happen, doesn't it? And I really like Tidwell, I do. I think Donal Logue is doing a great job with him, and I say that as someone who wanted Robin Weigert to stick around, so yeah.
Yay you for liking it! Well, I liked it, I just didn't love it.
Yeah, I agree with a lot of what you said. Charlie's dad and Ted (and Charlie, for that matter) fantastic.
And I agree there was a lot of funny, which is ALWAYS a good thing.
I really liked Love Hurts when it started, but then as it went on...I don't know, I think the retro songs lacked the energy that the music usually lends to the story. But I did find that the choices really made me smile and they were a commentary on the story, which is actually very cool. So they worked on a certain level, even for me.
Seriously, he just looked so magnificent I am starting to think that the camera and lighting guys are both madly in love with him.
Heh. You have theories about the camera and lighting guys. I have theories (from last week's recap) about the director and costume mistress. I think it's Occam's Razor time. Everyone loves Damian Lewis.
So I am "watching" the comm pers_pineapple (that's "personal pineapple", which...bwah!) which is a Life comm... Great links! This, from Alan Sepinwall. He agrees with you misreall! (Except about Reese/Tidwell, but you know...).
Since Crews spends much of "Mirror Ball" trying to give Reese a nickname, I may as well come up with my own moniker for this type of episode, which featured a lot of good comedy, very little conspiracy arc content (they could have easily deleted the interlude of Crews studying Roman's photo without affecting anything else), but enough Zen qualities to feel like an episode of the show. "Life" Light? "Life" With Laughs? Doc
