I'm sort of in the middle of The Mistletoe Challenge right now. :) Thank you for posting this list. I also had a chance to check out "Deep End of Emotion" and Shelley Butler's site. I'm afraid I won't be able to get around to everything, but I'm going to squeeze in what I can. *big holiday hugs*
Aw, a Shatnoyish hug! Thank you :-D Big holiday hugs to you too!! I'm glad you had time to check some of those Christmas recs and a few of the links from my last mail! I know how little spare time you hav, so I'm happy I can point out a few that I'm sure won't be a waste of your time :). This list here was an idea that popped in my mind on the way back from my brother's last night.
Weren't Shelley's pics gorgeous? Hot damn, I think it's probably better that she's not selling those prints anymore... I'd end up with a ton of art prints that I wouldn't even dare showcase anywhere :-D If you ever have a minute (don't fret if you don't have any) I'd love to hear your thoughts on any of the fics you read! As I said, I was really pleasantly surprised to see that Dana could write sweet emotion as well as she does humorous snark.
And I need to glom notboldly's other stories. She wrote two more for the Advent, and I've only read one. Heh :)
I will let you know what I think of the zine I ordered once it gets here and I've had a chance to read some of it. I'll also see about sending you some comments about some of the online fic if I think it might be of some help, but I think you're the better reviewer. :)
Shelley's pictures are lovely. *sigh* She's one of the best K/S artists out there, no question.
Lol. Thanks darling, I don't consider myself a great reviewer by any stretch, but yourr compliment is appreciated *hugs* But no matter what, I always like seeing what other people thought of something I have liked. After watching a movie r reading a book, I'll often head to Amazon or IMDB just for the fun of seeing what other people's view were. the discrepancie and similarities are alwas...fascinating :D.
And yeah, Shelley... *sigh* She's totally my new idol when it comes to drawing. Her type of drawing is what I aspire to. I adore The Southern Cross as well, but her style is a bit different and her backgrounds elaborate, so I'm less confident of my ability to ever reach that. But Shelley's lovely soft portraits and emphasis on characters and faces is something I feel might not be out of my reach... with a few years' practice. A girl can hope!
