Nodame Cantabile is such a good anime. It's so sad that it'll never get licensed because it's about classical music and not fighting and blowing shit up, nor is it moe or comedy, so no one in America would buy it.

I wouldn't say NEVER on nodame. THe manga is out and being done justice since it's DelRey that's putting it out (I swear I've only noticed one or two errors in what they do with manga, and it's only being a small typo that's easy to overlook), complete with notes at the end of each volume.

It's a solid enough series in Japan to have a live action series, I think a movie, and have a non continuous anime. (Aka, so good they didn't want to screw it up by making up it's own story when it got ahead of the manga.)

But I'm not going to hold my breath either.

True, but then I never see the manga in stores around here. And popular in Japan doesn't necessarily mean it'll get licensed.

Maybe the manga is selling out. But since it isn't something like Naruto, Bleach, Ouran, Vampire Knight, they don't make tons and tons of copies so the few that do get out are gone quickly. I'm being optimistic though. It's mostly caught up to Japan now, I think, so the manga is coming out slower so there isn't the new volume every other month making the shelves get clogged faster than some can buy.

It has comedy, but it's not like, say, Azumanga Daioh, where the main point is the jokes.

And that's true, but I don't have very much hope.

You know those figures are made in Japan when even the panties are highly detailed.

I heard about Nodame and looks very interesting, since I read up on it a long time ago, but never had to chance to watch it. I'll do so soon. :3
