JPQueen is closing.

Jun 22, 2009 10:19

I just found out, though apparently the announcement has been up since January. The announcement is only visible if you're signed in to your JPQueen account, but JPQueen is gone in 3 days. June 25th is the last day that the store will be open. It'll send out final shipments up until July 8th. I wouldn't have known if I hadn't just checked Twitter ( Read more... )

Oh, JPQueen had some Hidan/Kakuzu doujins I think, a little cheaper than eBay. Why are they closing? Do you have a link? Though maybe I'd best not order from them if they're going to close.

idk why they're closing. You can't order if you don't already have an account with them, since they won't let anyone make a new one now that their closing date is so soon.

Ah, okay. Maybe I should try this Little Nook for H/K stuff?

Meh, I'd say to stick with ebay. I'm sure they have stuff. I mostly use The Little Nook since what I'm looking for is hard to find anywhere outside of Japan, including ebay. TLN used to be awesome, but they recently had a price hike, so really it's only worth it to use them if you absolutely cannot find what you're looking for elsewhere.

Yeah, that recent price hike made me sad. It used to be more affordable. Alas.

Yeah, lol. I'm pretty much stuck dealing with thelittlenook's price increases since no place else has what I'm looking for in several cases.

Even though I only bought from them twice, it's sad to see them go. My first order with them was the one to spark my interest in collecting doujins again. They had some cheap doujins, but the shipping was nuts(as expected from Japan). ;_;

Other then eBay, I would also recommend The Happy Otaku Site (http://www.happyotakusite.jp/shop/index.php?main_page=index), while they have a bunch of series to choose from, they don't have a good diversity of different pairings. For example, the Hetalia section has only UKxUS stuff. Booooooring.

TheLittleNook is awesome, but I'm waning from there since the prices are going up. I remember for new con books, it was 12 bucks for a normal doujin; now it's $17/18.

Yeah, the problem is that even ebay doesn't list any Austria x Hungary doujinshi. Really I can only find that from TheLittleNook. Not to mention some of my other less popular pairs (France x Canada, etc) are hard to find elsewhere, too ;__;.
