The homeremodeling project is now underway

Two pictures of the back of the house: one taken last week before any of the work started and the other one from yesterday afternoon when the excavation for the addition was completed. [No concrete being poured today after all, since there are 2-3" of snow on everything this morning. But temps go right back up to the 50's tomorrow and the next

Wow, the new addition is going to be quite exciting once it's done. I hope there's a minimum of mess and fuss in the meantime.

The original house is over 50 years old now (that's the original siding on it too; it badly needs replaced). Two years ago we remodeled the kitchen and the dining room in the wake of some water damage to the kitchen floor and sub floor from a leaking pipe. So now we are going to remodel the rest of the house to fit with the newer kitchen and dining room
