Going forward, all posts will be viewable only by logged in, LJ account holders who have been admitted as members of the community. This is a change that we've been considering for a while now, and was hastened by LJ's recent decision to enable crossposting to Facebook and Twitter. trueriver's

That's... absolute nonsense. The stories have probably been linked to from outside the comm before; what's the difference if someone does it now, only including their own comment in the linking-back? All you achieve with this is fewer readers in a fandom that's already tiny.

Also, since you have custom comment pages enabled, it's actually very easy to get rid of the cross-posting boxes for this community altogether. Just add .b-repost-item {display:none} to the top of your custom CSS and the boxes will disappear forever.

Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts. It's always good to hear from readers who don't comment to the fics or discussions or other comm activities. I imagine our reaction does seem a bit extreme but, as I said, we're still on holiday, and the beaches (and boat drinks) beckon. Your suggestion to exploit our CSS is excellent - we'll take it under advisement.

... I'd only just started watching the comm, having watched Oliver Stone's Alexander movie a few weeks back and discovering kisa_hawklin's fanfic. But thanks for taking my comment under consideration anyway.

kisa_hawklin was one of the first ATG writers I encountered, and is one of my favourites, too. She wrote for our first Spooky Story Challenge.

You might have a little difficulty finding Stone canon here. But if you're starting your Renault!Alexander reading with FFH, we just completed a chapter-by-chapter discussion which you might want to browse. There's also one for TPB. Both are tagged in the sidebar.
