I would love to join, but I am very new to Renault's work and this fandom so I know my journal will not be even remotely helpful to you. So, here's a brief intro!

I'm a big writer/reader of fanfic, and a published writer in my RL (only short stories so far) with a love for history as well. I just finished (DEVOURED, really) The Persian Boy and I officially have a new obsession. I plan to read all of Renault's works, starting with the rest of her books on Alexander. I would love the chance to join this community and become involved in the fandom as well. I really hope you will allow me to become a member!

Hi. I tend to be quite a lurker now, don't post a lot on my LJ any more, my participation is far more about commenting these days. I've just started reading Renault's work, and I would love to be able to participate in this community, but fear the lack of recent posts on my journal may be an issue so I have decided to ask you here as well to ensure you know my intentions are to be a participant in the community.

I'm new to Mary Renault in general although I had been recommended her in the past it was only recently that I started on her Alexander Triology and on her Theseus stuff. I'm really liking her work both in regards to her writing style and her compelling characters. And yes I'm one of hose who started TPB first :) I've submitted a request to join but I'll be away for a week and am not sure about how reliable my internet connection will be. Thanks.
