That's terrifying. I can't help but wonder what the statistics are in the US.

Because they live in Europe, and Germans, French, Spaniards, and British all do business together. You don't want to offend Germans in your midst by reminding them of the ugliness of what happened in their country.

I have also found that the Brits who remember war are often worse than the ones who cna't relate to the years of bombing by the Germans. They want to do everything possible to get along so that they never have to deal with that again. Obviously no one has mentioned the saying recently about those who forget history are doomed to repeat it.

Heh, wonder if any of them care to know about what their country did to Dresden?

are you comparing aushwitz with dresden?

what guts you have.

one killed 2 million people, another one was an attack to win the war against a crazy murdering dictator and his crazy murdering people. (yes! it were the german people who did the killing, not just hitler himself and his robots. germans participated in creating, making up and sustaining a murderous government, bombing most of the england to the ground, and killing hundred million people)

i just can't believe Dresden still gets brougt up. if it was not for dresden we would not win the war.

germans are still complaining about having to bury all the bodies they themselves made, claiming psychological impact. my answer: FUCK YOU.

Germany should have been whiped out complitely. to the ground. with not a single person left alive.

starting two world wars, killing more people in those wars than all other wars combined!!!!

No, I wasn't comparing the two. I was making mention of a particularly nasty little maneuver Britain pulled in Dresden because if they don't know about Auschwitz, then they probably don't know about the firebombing of entire city. I *do* consider it just as horrible, tho', if not on the scale of 6 million, because it was a circular attack from the outside in so that no civilians could escape.

And killing all Germans is a tad extreme. Even for my nationalist tendencies. :) KC
