I'm seeing a lot of "I'll not forget," posts, and only one that was openly like, "Whatever, I don't care, blahblah." Which sorta distrubed me, but I'm not sure how to go about saying anything yet :/
I think it was a horrible event, and I'll never forget it.
That said, I'm tired about how it became a rallying cry for war, false patriotism, and the Republican party.
The people who use "9/11" to justify war, torture, treason, and the erosion of civil liberties are the ones who have cheapened it and make me want to ignore any commemoration of it.
As someone who was in Philadelphia at the time, it's a hard day to forget...we all had to evacuate the city and thought we were going to be the next target. Hard day to forget, and I still care about everything that took place. It was a true trajedy.
