Like the incredible logic failure of trying to protect Mello, Near and Matt by taking them out of their hidden place in England and putting them right next to the Kiras.

Or telling L's real name to a Kira who has the motivation to kill L and (if the canon timeline were being followed) does not have shinigami eyes at the time.
