physical appearance
"I'VE GOT MY HEART SET ON ANYWHERE BUT HERE."
The first thing people generally notice upon meeting her is her walk. Cissy takes tall strides that defeat her height. She walks with a purpose - and that is definitely nothing to do with you.

At first glance, Cissy looks like a typical blonde. She has blue eyes, soft, round features and a thin figure clothed by tanktops, jeans and a pair of boots.

A closer look into her eyes, and you'll find a hard anger that hides hurt or fear. She doesn't dress for an audience, she dresses for the sun to soak in the warmth of the rays. It can be a bitter winter day and she'll still have some sort of tank top on, though its usually accompanied by a warm jacket of some kind. Her skin is milky white, and doesn't take to sun despite her love for heat.

personality & demeanor
"TIME TO MAKE ONE LAST APPEAL..."

Cissy tends to look at the world in a way that startles most people. She isn’t afraid of ugly truths or actions as most people are and presents herself as though protected by a suit of arms. Her words are harsh and often mean because she doesn’t have a filter. There is a lot of anger that needs to be let out and this demeanor is its only outlet.

First and foremost, however, Cissy is a survivor. She fights tooth and nail to overcome every obstacle thrown at her - even if they stemmed from her own emotions. She has a determination that will not be defeated. She believes she is in control of her own destiny. Giving up or giving in is not an option. She refuses to take the coward way out.

Cissy needs people to feel safe, assured and sane. She’ll always be an outsider, but there is a kind of joy in being needed that keeps her self-satisfied. She is good at taking care of people and looking after their needs. There is a lot of self-destruction that creates barriers from the get-go, but Cissy is too proud and too stubborn to let it get the best of her. Sometimes  pride is the only thing that keeps her going when people let her down. That being said, people and that sense of community is something Cissy will give her life to be a part of. She understands that sacrifices have to be made, and that everybody has a part to play. As much as she hates people and as much as she pushes them away, she will do anything to protect her own. She’ll dive in heads first without looking back.

It takes a lot to be claimed by Cissy. She goes out of her way to hold people at arm length and once you get past that there are plenty of walls to take down. Her wit is mean and strikes like daggers - with deadly accuracy. Cissy uses sarcasm like a shield to deflect the seriousness of the situation at hand. She reminds people to loosen up or back off with a quick remark that deflects negative tension. It doesn’t always work. In fact, sometimes she just makes things worse. Still, if the situation calls for it, she’s glad to take on the attention. In the end, it is only another defense mechanism. She tries to push people away with words that have a knife's edge before they can hurt her first. If antagonizing them doesn’t work, then she easily falls back to insults and bratty complaints.

Her aggressive behavior is her front-line defense. She wants to give the appearance of being strong and independent, so she bites sharper than she intends. She’s an act first, think later kind of girl. When confronted with consequences, she deals with them systematically like the symptoms of a cold.

Once you get past her rough exterior, Cissy isn’t that bad. Beyond the brick walls of her defense, she’s soft-hearted and dreams of becoming something more, something better. She is definitely someone you want on your side. She learns quickly and can adapt to any situation. Her on-the-go intellect won’t allow her to follow anyone blind, but she’ll never leave someone she cares about behind. It takes a lot to earn her loyalty, but once her alliance is earned, it is there for life. It takes a huge act to make her turn her back  on you and even when she does, she’ll confront the person before giving up on them.

personal history
"...FOR THE LIFE I LEAD."

Born August 22nd, 1996 to Emily Tamwood (nee Arnold) and Cassidy Wright, Cecilia “Cissy” Tamwood was an accident between two friends on a night of drunken comfort. Cassidy had just caught his girlfriend cheating on him and Emily was his best friend. They drank to much. They fucked and Cissy was born. Cassidy tried to stick around and work things out with his girlfriend at the same time but it didn’t take. Eventually, he became little more than a distant relative who stopped by on occasion. He never missed a birthday, but their relationship consisted of cards and casual friendship more than father-daughter interactions.

There were many men after Cassidy and figuring out what made them tick became a game. The men were dates - temporary toys that would go away when they got old. In Cissy’s eyes, it was her and her mother verses the world. The two of them often made bets on how long the new guy would last. Cassidy showed up every so often, to take up the couch, and he’d join in the game until his wife let him back in the house.

Eventually Daniel Tamwood came into the picture. Things were fine at first, but as a year passed and then another, Cissy grew more and more uncomfortable with the idea of someone else invading their space. When Daniel and his son moved in, things only got worse. She antagonized everybody, refusing to give him a chance. Despite her efforts, Cissy was ignored. She gave up trying to get them out of her house (apartment, rather), but she was far from civil. Thirteen year old girls can hold mean grudges that last past maturity. She preferred to pretend like Daniel and his son didn’t exist.

After a year of being settled, Daniel and Emily moved their family to a condo. By now, there was an unspoken agreement that if they leave Cissy alone, she’d leave them alone in return. “It’s just a phase, she’ll get over it”, was how her mother rationalized to Daniel. This wouldn’t last long, however.

When she was sixteen, Cissy was thrown into a trip with Daniel and Jimmy in an effort to “get them to know each other better”. A car accident in Atlanta brought the three of them closer together, but the Outbreak prevented them from going home.

Cissy, Daniel, and Jimmy ended up traveling with a group of survivors coming back from a camping trip. With supplies low and Daniel, Jimmy and Cissy being strangers, tension were high. Cissy discovered, while trying to get more supplies, that these people could be seduced into giving away their supplies. She took advantage of the fact that she was the only female in a group of men. When Daniel found out, he was furious. He took action and the group broke apart. They lost Jimmy along the way, but eventually ended up in Atlanta. Daniel got sick, however, and ended up dying in the city after a couple of weeks. Since then, Cissy has been alone, trying to figure out how to survive.
