Why shouldn't people who believe in Lithuanian sky-pixies be asked to justify their religion? It's not like I exempt Christians and Hindus and all the other silly cultists from question!

I try to justify, but they are annoyed that they can't read the source texts ... My usual glib response to "but it isn't in english" is "learn the language".... Lithuanian isn't that hard :-)

Ahh, now for me, the text isn't really relevant. You can make any old shit up and print it. Christians have been doing it for centuries, after all. Historical texts are useful only if questioning the provenance of a supposedly ancient religion, or the historical accuracy of a resurrected one ( ... )

To begin, I do not disagree with either of your viewpoints.

The wisdom of the past is some of the best, but then Ghandi will also be quoted for the next 500+ years. I feel that new ideas based on old traditions can be successful.
