So the big test was this weekend.  Mt. Si, 2 hours or less, with a pretty full pack.  For those of you not familiar with Mt. Si it is one of the most popular hikes in the Seattle area.  And is fairly challenging (~4 miles and ~4000 ft of climbing).  Roughly 1000 feet up for every mile, however the actual profile is more like a couple of miles with ( Read more... )

I have decided to embark on an epic experiment.  Other the last few days I have been seriously thinking about my diet.  And frankly about how I keep saying I am eating better but really I don't think I am.  Therefore I am going to see what happens when I follow the suggested servings on the packages of the food I eat.  I plan to document this ( Read more... )
