Hm. I suppose I've given you all enough time to simmer before throwing you into the boiling pot.

Tomorrow, I want all students to meet me in the fields outside of Tetha.

Those of you who can already cast offensive or ranged spells... good. Just focus on using those.

Because you'll be firing it at the ones who can't.

magi, great teacher gaav san, log post

... Are you really sure you should be using students as targets for practice?

Why not?

The ones that can need to find out how to aim, and the ones who can't need to know to dodge.

... And how expensive do you expect the hospital bills for the ones who don't figure out how to dodge quickly enough will be?

For that matter, shouldn't we have had some class sections for teaching newer students about this first?

I've authorized the class, Meg. There's nothing to worry about. I DO teach a class on the basics of magic, after all, and I do teach magical barriers as one of the first things a student learns, along with basic cantrips.

Professor Gaav, will you be allowing the students to use their protect barriers in this exercise?

Why would the non casting students be able to use protect-

Oh, the insipid D-Comm.

I don't know. It ruins the spirit of the thing.

Yes, but if you don't establish the rules of the exercise completely, you may find your purpose defeated. :)

Very well then.

No protect barriers, or digimon defense mechanisms of any kind.

Yes, but you want her to improve, right?

Pain is a motivator for learning!
