My gentle senior cat is going crazy!!! natalie (13+) is beating up the dominant cat (Cody, 5, purebred bengal) And he is totally frightened of her now! She wont let him near food, or in any room I am in. He is so scared, it is making my heart ache. I loved my Natalie just the way she was! What's wrong????

Big behavior changes like that in animals could be a sign of illness. She needs to see a vet to rule that out.

I agree with Jesi.

Amelia started showing major aggression changes about a month before she passed. However, Amelia had been very sick prior to these changes, so I'm in no way trying to say that will happen to your loved kitty, I'm just agreeing that illness can change a pet's personality.

She just went to the doc a few weeks ago for yearly shots and because she had lost weight. She got a whole battery of tests done, but came out with a clean slate. I will have to talk to the vet again.
