When I was in marching band a lyre was a piece of metal that attached itself to our instruments and held a flip-folder of music. Those things were pains to keep track of. Once, a friend of mine dropped his on the football field during halftime and the football team tripped over it in a domino-effect when they came back on for the 3rd quarter. It was hilarious.
