When I came to Japan I thought briefly of starting a "travel blog," but then I realized that those are for people who actually travel, like people who study in Europe and spend their weekends hopping from country to country. The only traveling I've been doing is on the train between Seto and Nagoya, so I've decided not to start any special blog,

Where are they studying, out of curiosity? Also, is Alice Stanley related to you?

Aaron is studying at ICU Japan. Alice is in Kyoto, I think, and she is not related to me.

Where's ICU Japan? I don't even know stuff like that, I feel silly.

By the way, I've been meaning to say I'm really sorry I'm never online and we can't talk. I've tried and tried to log into iChat on my computer here, but it never, ever works - it always says the host refused the connection. Next semester when I move into the dorms and have wireless there, I'll try again. But the internet connection here at school is just terrible. I'm really sorry.

It sounds like you're doing well. I'm so glad. I found this update really interesting.

Also, I have much sympathy with your trash sorting. Even at the end of the year I felt pretty uncomfortable figuring out what went where. This foil lined paper packet...metal? paper? I can't imagine if I couldn't've at least read the categories.
