Went to the Homo Hop at 5ive in Toronto. We got a ride in from Mikey at 11, so we had plenty of time to kill. We hung out on Church Street, ate at Zelda's, and visited Priape and various gay-related stores. Between that, the club, and listening to musicals and part of Margaret Cho's routine in the car back, it was a very gay day

anyway, the class should be done by noon or so, and we're going out to lunch with her afterward (most likely at the st jerome's cafeteria again). you'd be welcome to join us there too.
and if that doesn't work we can do a dinner thing :)
whatever works for you :)

I've been to the Homo Hop once, this summer. I live in Toronto, I didn't know you did. It was fun, but my friend didn't enjoy it. The cool this was that I ran into a girl from camp 3 years back who I had a crush on and who apperantly liked me too. What I didn't like was that there were a few people there I recognized from my school that I KNEW were homophobic. I guess they just wanted a cheap club to go to that was for underage kids? But seriously, that interefers a lot with my idea of safe-space and made me feel very uncomfortable.
The fact that the Church of Scientology is on Yonge St. creeps me out. It just shouldn't be there. And they are ALWAYS giving out flyers. Like, what kind of a 'religious' does this? Sounds like a cult. And who in the right mind follows something where the creator has ben quoted as saying that the best way to make money is by starting a religioun? (Reply

Yeah, lots of heteros there. It's one thing if they're allies, but if they're homophobes? That's uncool. Not like they can really do anything about it, though.
It's also annoying when the straight chicks are blowing guys in the bathroom. Like, stop degayifying our space, yo.
Heh, Scientology is a joke. But I guess it's no worse than any of the other crap people buy into. At least it gives them some sense of comfort. *shrug*
