A fountain near my apartment. The little fish things are for Boy's Day. I remember climbing on that fountain as a kid. It was lovely and cool, in the summer.
Part of a huge arcade. In the foreground are games where you can win candy, if you push them off the ledge. I remember that the arcade near our house had one of those that sometimes jammed up, and if you called the attendant, they would give you free candy. :) Dad and I got our picture taken at one of the Print Club machines. They're much fancier than they used to be...they let you edit them and draw on them, and have way more options.
The red thing is the Kobe tower, and the white spikey thing is the maritime museum (I remember it being very dull).
They have awesome curvy escalators here that are partially flat.
A cafe in Harbourland.
A view of Osaka, from the top of the ferris wheel!
The ferris wheel (duh).
A case full of plastic food. All the restaurants have these outside, to show the dishes they serve. Some of them look really realistic. I tried to find a dark, quiet corner to take a picture of it, but a little kid walked by and stared at me just as I was snapping the photo. :P Oh well, I'm a gaijin...I can get away with looking a little strange.
The name of a store. The Japanese are not known for their racial sensitivity. Actually, in Japan, they seem to really like white. They have White Day (kinda like Valentine's Day), and whitening creams are all very popular. UV protection seems to be a big thing here. I got these fingerless gloves things that are supposed to protect your arms. They're comfy. :) I also got a Batman shirt. It's pink and he has beaded/glittery boots. Very fetching. More pictures will come later.
Finally, some Engrish (there's a lot here, but I liked the sentiment expressed in this one):
Aww, isn't that sweet?
Also, if the pics don't load, blame Photobucket, and check back later.
