The fact I'm getting some of this done mid-December and not late December is surprising. Next week is finals. agh. Doing these a bit out of order then when they were requested. For rirenec who wanted my top five BSG moments.

1} The argument (snarling match? resigned and pointed gouging of personal wounds?) between Bill and Laura in Six of One.

I've come to the conclusion long ago that I like it when characters I like suffer. As long as they recover enough to still be mostly-independent from their trauma. Emotional pain definitely qualifies. I'm also a fan of brutal honesty, especially when the sentiment behind it is true, but the desire to inflict pain wins out over tact and helpfulness. It's beautiful, it's sad, and it drives home how much these two know each other and just how far under each other's skin they've gotten.

2} The discovery of nuked Earth in Revelations.

I laughed hysterically and will probably never get over the fact the show really decided to crush its characters that way. Bravo show, bravo. (hm, this kinda relates back to number one)

3} Lee outing Laura's cancer on the stand in Crossroads.

This is on here not only because it's a wonderfully acted and incredibly tense and great moment, but because it's honestly one of the few (maybe the only) time I understand why I don't like Lee. Alright Lee, I encourage you to continue on your journey to become your own man. Please explain to me why hurting the one person who has treated you as an individual with his own name since the moment they met you is the right way to go about this. Explain. And I'm going to stop myself before I go on a rant trying to understand how law is practiced in the Twelve Colonies. (alright I can't step away without once more asking where the fuck was Zarek during the trail okay I'm done)

4} Um.. space battles?

I really do love the way a lot of the action between the different ships is filmed. It's grand and it's messy.

5} Bill and Laura smoking a joint in Unfinished Business.

Funny and utterly adorable. Plus, I really appreciate a show giving us two highly intelligent very successful people who aren't in their tweens getting high.
