dread it? no. but I mostly like it when I'm inside with a mug of hot tea, warm and cozy. not really a fan of it, when I have to go outside... but it was different, when I was a kid - I loved snowballs, snowmans and sleighs. oh, memories...
I completely agree! I love snow when I don't have to go anywhere and I can stay at home, wrapped in a blanket on the couch and watching the snow falling though the window with a cup of tea. But if I have to go somewhere and drive on it I get really nervous. A couple of years ago I bumped my car into another wall because there was ice on the street after it snowed during the whole night - and since then snow scares me a little.
it all comes down to this - snow is quite pretty to look at and it's great if you CHOOSE to go to play in it or something... but if you have to go out despite not wanting to, it can be quite a nuisance...
I'm not surprised that snow scares you a bit... after such an experience? *shudders* I have less traumatic memories involving snow, but still - it's MUCH easier to fall down and get hurt on a snowy day... in this aspect snow is definitely not friendly *sighs*.
