Useless adapter?

Is there any possible application for a male Micro SATA to female SATA + male Molex adapter? It could be used to plug a normal hard drive into a Micro SATA bay, I suppose, but only if you ignore the Molex. What about the other way? To use a MicroSATA (laptop?) drive in a normal desktop - the MicroSATA getting power from the Molex and data from the normal SATA?

Which, admittedly, is what the others are supposed to be. Aren't they, in fact, exactly the same product? It looks like the photos are the same item, just that one's upside down...

No, the Micro SATA connector is the wrong gender. (Using a Micro SATA drive - i.e. a 1.8" SSD - in a desktop was what I was trying to achieve, but the adapters I bought don't allow me to do that.)

And the Molex is the wrong way round for it to be exporting power from the MicroSATA?
