Research

I've just been told that I'm the only person in the Computer Lab who is researching networks at layer 2 (i.e., Ethernet). This intrigues me: I'm not seeing a particular lack of papers in the area, and also I thought the industry was moving towards doing an increasing amount of stuff at layer 2 (the transit provider I use certainly is). So I am ( Read more... )

let's try this as a transit provision... you get it back down to the HAL layer... maybe you handshake it over a SCSI II bus to some tape drive.

people still need Labs that host visiting experimental probeheads. So, could you, as malc.org.uk offer up subdomains for instance ftloa.malc.org.uk ?

i'm in a bit of a fix. either I sign-up for LiveJournal just to send you an email or you sign-up for MySpace just to find out the same. in between, it seems, we have to register ourselves up to all administrations and put our names and faces together. I would just love a nice tidy SSH cubby-hole from which to publish HTML on the breakdown of architecture.

I started off trying to get the Oxford University Computer Society to follow through on the offer of an open 'friendly' subdomain strategy. But that's life. You're probably the researcher architecture needs most at this time.

For the love Of architecture. FTHLOA.ORG
