Something that is NOT nifty about today:
The fire alarm above my head going off every five minutes. This will be happening all day. Stupid buzzer and flashing light. -

Two reasons why today is nifty so far:
1. We're finally moving into the new office - everything is in complete disarray, but we're here.
2. My boss just gave me two cool beach chairs.

Saw my first fight last night. It was both ridiculous and disturbing. The guys actually formed a circle around the two involved and just stood there quietly watching while the two brutalized each other out on the street. After about four seconds I'd had quite enough. Everything about the scuffle was just... grim.

The Standard
was fun last night. I wore a killer outfit, danced a lot, talked a lot, laughed a lot, shared a friend's white russian (not a lot), intercepted a couple of friends before they did REALLY stupid things, and designatedly drove five people home. Good thing Toyota Avalons are fairly spacious vehicles.

Into the Wild
Troy decided to jeopardize our friendship rather than take me to the first screening he went to last week. Just got an email from him today inviting me to join him for another screening of the same film followed by a Q&A with Sean and Emile. Saturday, November 3rd, 2pm.

So how about these fires? The smoke from Castaic is blowing in through our ventilation system. Really hoping we shut down early today...
