So, it’s really been bothering me for a while now that I haven’t corrected the assumption that people make about me-- namely, that I am an extreme FFVII gamer.

I have never played Final Fantasy VII.

Not “never played all the way through.”  Never played.

I have never owned a Playstation with which to play Final Fantasy VII.

I have never been in a room

That...is a long-ass journal entry. Still, it was interesting as I got to understand your viewpoint based on someone not having played the game. Ironically enough it was the same with me and my Castlevania fic: The Tragic Prince. All I had to use was a magazine to inspire my writing.

This was a fascinating read my dear and I understand why you feel the way you do.
